Get to Know Meg!
“I’ve always found joy through movement & over the years I’ve turned deeper in to moving more mindfully. The practice of yoga felt like a great space to explore, and flowing in a way that connects the physical body to the mind was very refreshing. A form of exercise became so much more beneficial than I could’ve imagined & began to naturally trickle into my everyday life! I wanted to share this magic with my family & friends so becoming a yoga teacher felt like a must.
While I’ve been practicing for about 8 years, I have been teaching for over 4 years. I began with a 200-hour Baptiste training, which included a Journey into Power sequence in a hot yoga studio, Toledoyoga in May 2018.
At the time, that style was wonderful for a mover like me to study & offer. I loved the heat, the pace, oh & the sweat!
Over the years I’ve really found passion in practicing & offering more gentle paced flows. There’s a powerful way to create strength in ease & I’ve been leaning in to sharing more accessible classes.
Meeting students where they are at & creating modifications has strengthened my teaching & has brought a beautiful awareness to my personal practice.
I took a yin yoga course in February of 2021 & look forward to really soaking in slow practices with that style soon!
I find it quite humbling to be a yoga teacher & will always recognize myself as a student. Everyday I learn something new & everyday no matter how resistant, I feel the tremendous support of this practice.”
