Get to Know Suzanne!

Like many people, I began my yoga journey as a means of exercise. The flow of power classes captivated me and offered the cardio my body craved without the high impact on my joints that I found in running.  I enjoyed the challenge of the poses, but what quickly captured my heart was the sense of community and connection with others. The yoga studio was a place where everyone was accepted regardless of their shape, size or ability.

Around the same time I took up yoga, I separately began a journey into meditation. Unaware that the two had anything to do with one another, I joined a monthly meditation group with a Reiki master at the recommendation of a friend.  I did not know what Reiki was, but meditation sounded cool, so why not?

Through meditation, I woke up to my spirituality and began listening to my higher self.  I started to cultivate a connection I had no idea existed.  As my awareness came online, I began to bridge the gap between the physical practice of yoga and the spiritual practice of meditation.  The connection of mind and body creates a deeper understanding of ourselves, and from here we can cultivate our best lives.

In 2018 I added Reiki to my practice and discovered the power we all have within ourselves to heal and create the world we live in.  What we think, we become.  My goal as a yoga instructor is to guide people through their own journey to a mind-body connection, so they can begin to create the life they wish to live. I believe in offering a safe, loving space for people to explore their physical, emotional, and spiritual body; while cultivating a community of oneness.
